Mercury Retrograde.... Oh My
Hey yall today on the blog I am sharing some good tips almost a survival guide for when the dreaded Retrograde hits!!
Yall know what time it is! Its the time of the year where texts are sent but not recieved, or never sent at all or lets not forget the dreaded message sent to the wrong person! Technology is not on on your side when this time hits… its honestly not on anyone’s side!
Delays galore is whats expected!
But don’t fret because you have come to the right place as I am going to equip you with the correct informaton that you assist you in surviving thise 3 week trek of an adventure that can wreck havoc on your life if you are not ready for it…..dramatic much!!!
DO NOT STRESS about things outside of your control
I Repeat do not stress yourself about things you can not control! If you wrote that amazing essay and backed it up several times to make sure it doesn’t disappear only to have your professor miscommunicate the deadline! Don’t fret you have done everything possible YOU could do!
DO BACKUP EVERYTHING!
Yall I learned the hard way, way toooo many times with retrograde that I have wrote ENTIRE assignments or speeches only to see that I didn’t save the assignment or I completely misplaced it! BACK it up BACK it up!!( If you can write your assignment on a platform that automatically saves it for you as you go -like Google Docs…the better) I want to say it AGAIN BACK IT UP! BACK IT UP!!!
DON’T SIGN ANY CONTRACTS….if you can control it
If you can refrain from signing any important contracts please do! I had a partner in the past who moved every SINGLE retrograde period for a year because they kept signing a NEW lease during retrograde. I am soooo serious, can you imagine moving every 3 months. Only to have your girlfriend continually telling you NOT to sign it! So please don’t learn the hard way with this one. Its like things are not what they appear, the apt, car or even new adventure you embark on will change during that time.
DO REST AND RE-ASSESS
Mercury Retrograde is the best time to take time and re-assess whats going on in your life. As retrograde does cause delays, allow yourself to take the time to review what current practices in your life are really helping you. Are there certain things in your life that are no longer serving you…cut them!
DO NOT BREAK UP WITH YOUR BOO
HA I had to laugh out loud as I wrote this! But please believe me when I tell you from personal experience that it is not okay to do during this phase. Communication is off and almost always both people are usually not on the same page… so you end up re-hashing out the breakup after the retrograde has passed! If you can postpone the break-up til after the retrograde please do! Both parties will be grateful because just think you are triggered and so are they. You both are not able to fully communicate your side so why try???!!
DO EXPECT DELAYS…TRAVEL
If you are traveling during Mercury Retrograde please expect delays and plan ahead. Leave early, pack a book, bring a spare tire! Double and triple check important items and supplies needed for travel!! Double check you have your passport.
DON’T ASSUME ANYTHING
Always double check and even encourage triple check that someone understands what you have communicated and what they have communicated. As communication is affected during this period it is completely possible that that rude co-worker DOES NOT want a fight but maybe a hug!
DO TRIPLE CHECK ALL WRITTEN TEXTS & EMAILS
One time I missplaced one letter in an email to my previous boss that caused me major backlash! Oh yeah that one time I hit REPLY ALL…….Don’t even want to think of that fall out…putting it nicely it was not pretty!! ( I have to mention I have Mercury in Saggitarius….need I say more!!!)) So to avoid that type of situation triple check EVERYTHING!!
DO BE PATIENT WITH YOURSELF&& EVERYONE ELSE
Understand EVERYONE is feeling the effects of this retrograde and so be extra patient with yourself and others! Everyone will be soo grateful for that extra dose of understanding.
Also I want to mention to those born with Mercury Retrogade in their chart, those rules above do not apply as they apply for you all year long when Retrograde is Direct! Bless you souls born with Retrograde as you are most often misunderstood by soo many!! During Retrograde make sure you use the time to SHINE! As you will be more direct and clear than other times of the year!!
